What We Do
We're building a home base for trail runners and mountain athletes in the Japanese Alps. A place where people can train consistently, explore new routes, and connect with others who want meaningful time outdoors.
Our focus is on longer stays — weeks or months, not weekends. This creates space for routines, deeper relationships with the mountains, and community built around shared experience rather than one-off events.
We provide accommodation, trail access, local knowledge, and the infrastructure that makes mountain living work. The community does the rest.

Why We Exist
Japan has world-class mountains and trail running terrain. But for international residents and visitors, it's surprisingly difficult to find consistent community around it. Outdoor experiences remain fragmented, informal, or hard to access without language skills and local knowledge.
We exist to solve that gap. To create a gathering point where trail runners — Japanese and international — can base themselves, learn from each other, and spend real time in the mountains.
This isn't tourism. It's infrastructure for people who want the mountains to be a bigger part of their lives.
Our Approach
The space exists to bring people together. Shared runs, communal meals, knowledge exchange. The mountains provide the context, but community is what people come back for.
Monthly commitments instead of weekend trips. This allows for training cycles, seasonal exploration, and relationships that go beyond surface level.
Direct access to the Yatsugatake range and Southern Alps. Routes for every level, from forest trails to technical alpine terrain.
We welcome both Japanese and international trail runners. The space is designed to work equally well for both, creating cross-cultural connections that happen naturally through shared time outdoors.
Everything is considered. From the physical space to daily rhythms, we create an environment that encourages presence, balance, and meaningful outdoor time.

Our Values
The best mountain experiences happen when knowledge is shared and friendships are built along the way. We create space where people feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
We approach the mountains with respect. Leave No Trace principles, responsible outdoor practices, and humility in the face of natural environments guide everything we do.
Mountains push people to grow. We encourage curiosity, skill development, and willingness to step outside comfort zones — whether that's running your first trail race or preparing for a major objective.
Rather than defaulting to busy or distracted lifestyles, we're built around intentional choices. How we spend time, who we share it with, and the experiences we prioritize.
We bridge international outdoor communities and Japan's mountain culture. A place where perspectives are shared and connections grow naturally.
Where We're Based
Our basecamp is located in the Yatsugatake region of Nagano Prefecture, between the Yatsugatake range and the Southern Alps. Two hours from Tokyo by train.
The location provides direct access to some of Japan's best trail running terrain. Volcanic peaks, alpine meadows, dense forest, and technical ridge lines. Routes for every season and experience level.
Kobuchizawa serves as the gateway town — quiet, functional, and close to trailheads.

Who We Serve
Experience level doesn't matter. What matters is genuine interest in spending time outdoors and contributing to community.
What Makes Us Different
We're not a hostel, hotel, or tour company. We're infrastructure for mountain lifestyle.
This creates something closer to a basecamp than traditional accommodation. A place where people return regularly, build relationships, and deepen their connection to the outdoors.
If we disappeared tomorrow, what people would miss most is the community built around the trails.
